Fallout 3 Play Diary - Part 9

Right now lets take some time out to go look for some Bobbleheads with part 9.

Right last time we left we had found Dad and gone to Rivet City.

Now we're going to go pick up a few odd Bobbleheads that are off the beaten track.
Fast Travel to Springvale.
Head in a North/North West direction from Springvale under the crumbling bridge.
Until you reach mini town.
Congratulations you found Big Town
Don't worry we aren't stopping.
From here head again in a North/North West direction until you reach Paradise Falls.
Talk to the guard agree to help him and you will be allowed in.
Head into paradise falls.
However if you don't help him first and just run in like I did.
Prepare for hell!
Every slaver in this camp is going to want your head so fight for it!
Once they have fallen take 5 minutes and rob them all just for fun.
When you have had your moment head into Eulogy's Pad.
Head through to the back room.
This guys kind of sick to be honest.
And I don't even want to know how that body got up there!
Anyway it's none of my business.
So head to the desk in the back corner of the room next to the safe.
There it is Bobble head number 5 "Speech"
Pick it up and we have 5/20.
Now leave Paradise falls and bask in the fact that you destroyed a whole town for one little doll.

Fallout 3 Play Diary - Part 8

Part 8 of the journey has begun...

Right time to find vault 112.

Well enter Smith Casey's Garage.
Head behind the counter and through the door.
Flick the switch on the wall.
Head down the new passageway.
Continue down the metal stairs and enter the door to vault 112.
Move down the passageway and open the vault door.
Head through the door on the left and down the corridor through a second door.
Talk to the Robobrain and he will give you a vault 112 suit.
Put on the suit.
Looks nice!
Nice Fit!
Head through the door behind him and down the stairs.
Head right and then enter the door on the left.
Jump down and enter the empty pod.
Your In Tranquility Lane
Head to the left and enter the abandoned house.
This place is Creeeeeepppyyyyy!!!!
What wait this item makes a noise!
Lets hit them until something happens.
Find the correct order and a terminal appears.
Lets Play....
Activate the terminal.
Initiate the failsafe.
What have you done head outside and see.
Oh that's never good!
Head to the middle of the park and talk to the little girl.
Oh God what happened to your voice.
Have a chat then head through the door.
FREEDOM!
Hurray there's Dad it's about time!
Speak with him learn what he says then head on out of there and back to the wasteland.
Now fast travel to Rivet City.
Now fast travel to Megaton.
Enter Lucas Simm's house head upstairs and in one room there's the 4th Bobblehead.
On the desk you will find "Strength" 4/20 almost a quarter of the way there.

Fallout 3 Play Diary - Part 7

Here we have part 7 of our Fallout 3 Diary.

Right we're outside Megaton, lets find Vault 112!

From Megaton head in a Westerly Direction.
Head towards the crumbling overhead bridge.
From the bridge head west along the crumbling road then head up the hill.
On the otherside of the hill you will see a deserted lorry head to it.
Bet there's something inside!
Oh Dear! Whats That!
Take out the robot that's begun to attack you.
Now raid the ammo boxes by the van, Not Bad!
Continue West from the lorry in the direction of the arrow.
Head toward the abandoned houses.
From here you will see a church that's our next target so lets be off.
At the church take out the raiders and rob their stuff.
Continue West from the church in the direction of the arrow.
You will come to a ravine.
Can you already see a lot of raiders?
I can!
Jump down and take them all out.
When they have gone head into Evergreen Mills Foundry.
Eliminate the raiders inside and head into the bazaar.
Head through to the back of the bazaar and into a supply place.
At the back of this place off to the right down in a little cave is you guessed it!
Bobblehead number 3 "Barter".
That's 3/20 we're cooking now!
Anyway leave this place and head out of the Ravine.
Right now we are out of the ravine continue to head in the direction of the arrow.

What I'm Playing - 14/12/2008 - 5:00PM

Well I've spent most of the day playing Fallout 3 for the diaries I'm currently just on the way to vault 112 to again search for Dad. But stay tuned to them if you are following them part 7 will be up soon.

I haven't really got much done in terms of game playing I've watched some of the cutcenes from Xenosaga 3, I'm not sure if anyone knows this game but I played 1 & 2 and never got to play 3 so I'm watching the cutscenes to see how the story ended. Xenosaga was an RPG released bout 2 years ago now towards the end of the PS2's life cycle. There's a video below to fill you in on the details.



I've also uploaded some more songs to my Lips library this time it was The Arctic Monkeys Debut album, almost half way there to that achievement now.

Pandemic has just released a new development diary of it's newest game Lord Of The Rings: Conquest. If you are following this game then check it out to see how it's progressing.

Fallout 3 Play Diary - Part 6

Here we have part 6 and the search for Dad continues!

Here we are outside Rivet City, Lets Go find this Dr Li.

Start in the marketplace.
Visit the shops offload your gear and stock up on any items you need.
Oh and don't forget to get used equipment repaired don't want it breaking do we?
Head up the stairs and through the door to the upper deck.
Head down the corridor then down the stairs.
Head through the door on the left to the science lab.
Find Dr Li and speak with her.
Ask about your Dad.
Surprise Surprise! He's not here!
Where's he gone then?
Apparently he's gone off to Project Purity back in the Jefferson Memorial.
Remember that we passed it earlier.
But wait before leaving the lab take a look on the desk!
There it is Bobblehead Number 2 "Intelligence"
Pick it up and there we have 2/20.
Do what you have to do then Leave Rivet City.
Open Up your PIP BOY and quick travel to the Memorial.

Now we are here the entrance is right in front of you.
Head through the door to the gift shop.
Kill the super mutant as you enter.
At the 4 ways head right.
Take out the turret and any super mutants in here.
Head through this room and turn left.
Head straight forward to the door and enter the Rotunda.
Eliminate any super mutants in here.
Head up the stairs and on top of the machine in front of you right at the top of the stairs are 3 tapes pick them up.
Open your PIP BOY go to notes and listen to Entry 10.
Your Dad has gone to vault 112.
Leave the Building and head outside.
Fast travel to Megaton.
Prepare for a long walk!

Part 7....

Fallout 3 Play Diary - Part 5

Here is part 5 of our adventure, onwards to Rivet City!

We're are back outside the metro station.

Check your PIP BOY and you will see the dotted line heading to Rivet City.
We're going to head in the direction of that line along the coast.
Let's Go!
Head in a SE direction following the river.
You'll reach an overturned truck and a centaur, behind that is a super mutant camp wash them out if you like and continue SE along the river.
A little further on you'll find a Mirelurk take it down and continue.
Keep hugging the river edge and you'll Find the Tepid Sewers.
Just behind that Is Dukov's place head past that and continue on towards the bridge.
You'll reach a raider camp eliminate them head through the camp and continue
toward the bridge.
Under the bridge you will find a trader so trade with him or kill him and steal
everything your choice.
Carry on along the river in a southern direction.
Head up the stairs in front and along the road.
You will come to a bridge and see a dome building in front of you head over the bridge.
You have discovered the Jefferson memorial.
Take out the super mutants around and head over the metal walkways to the east.
Look East and you will see a big Gun ship head over to it.
Hey look there's a sign! Rivet City! Head on up there.
Congratulations You have discovered Rivet City!
How the hell do I get across!
Use the intercom of course.
Cross the bridge to a cold welcome.
Tell him your looking for your Dad and he lets you in.

What I'm Playing - 13/12/2008 - 1:00AM

Well I've spent the main part of my day at the football so I haven't got much game playing done.

However I have played some more of Fallout got about 1 hour in, in order to continue the play diary that is currently up to Part 4 if you are following. Just about to set off to Rivet City.

Apart from that I've played some more Lips got myself 2 more challenge wins taking me up to 14/20 for the achievement now. I'll be glad when I get that damn achievement! I also added some more songs to my Lips library as you probably know it is in a quest to get the upload 300 songs achievement. This time it was The Offspring's Greatest Hits album, here's one of my favorite songs form the album, defiantly worth a listen.

Fallout 3 Play Diary - Part 4

Here we have Part 4 of our wasteland adventure.

Right we have emerged from the subway at Chevy Chase North, lets Find Galaxy News.

From the exit of the station head left in front you will see a destroyed building.
Head that way and you will come across 2 super mutants.
Lets take them on!
Battle with them until some soldiers come up to save you.
Speak with the Blonde one.
This is Lucy Captain of the Brotherhood of Steel.
Follow the Brotherhood as they wind there way through the destroyed buildings.
They will lead you to Galaxy News Radio and take a lot of bullets.
Congratulations you discovered GNR.
Now comes the fun part, what was that noise???
OMG It's a giant Behemoth RUNNNN!!!
Oh no wait lets fight it!
Once he falls rob its body and head into GNR.
Once inside head up the stairs and head into the studios.
Head up the stairs to the right and speak with 3 dog.
If your speech is high enough you can trick 3 dog into thinking your Dad can help.
If you are successful like I was then he will tell you your Dad went to Rivet City.
Lets Go!
Before heading off I suggest going back to Megaton to offload some stuff and restock.
I also popped into my house, which you get for disarming the Nuke.
In here there is a stand which you can activate and play your collected bobbleheads on, it looks good, so go place the medicine one on now.
Now Quick travel to Farrugut Metro Station and prepare for the journey to Rivet City.

Fallout 3 Play Diary - Part 3

Here we have Part 3 and we're on the search for Galaxy News Radio and Our Dad...

Right we're currently standing outside Megaton, time to find Dad.

Open up your PIP BOY and take a look at the Map.
See the dotted lines that's where we are headed so follow the line and head for the first dot.
Set off in an Easterly direction along the line.
Pop by the super Duper Mart and pick off the raiders outside for some items.
From the super duper mart look in the direction of the dot and you will see a metro station over the river.
I'll risk the few rads of poisoning and swim over the river.
Congratulations you have found Farragut West Metro Station.
Head down the steps and into the station.
Follow the linear path through the station until you come to some stairs down.
Head down those until you reach a set of metal stairs heading up at the top head through the door on the left.
Those Ghouls don't look friendly.
Activate the terminal and stop the gas flow.
Grab the gate key from the first aid box.
Head back out and unlock the gate in front of you take out the ghouls.
Head through the door in front of you ignoring the stairs.
Follow the stairs up and head through the door to Friendship station.
Whats this a sign pointing to Galaxy News Radio?
Follow it off to the right through the little connecting tunnel.
Turn right at the end and head up the tunnel.
Oh Dear Lord whats that!
It's our first Super Mutant take him down!
Once he's gone head up the escalator and follow the corridor to the exit.
Congratulations you have discovered Chevy Chase North.

What I'm Playing - 13/12/2008 - 1:00AM

Well it's just before I head to bed so here's a quick run down of whats been in the machine.

I've been playing some more of Mirrors Edge I started playing through the speed runs of each level basically you must beat the level within a time limit, no easy thing to do. I unlocked The prologue and chapter 1 speed run achievements. I also unlocked the achievement for running a certain distance randomly while doing the speed run.

	Vrooom!	40
	Maintain sprint speed for 30 seconds.

However I have decided to stop playing Mirrors Edge now that I have completed the story as I can't bring myself to do the time trials and speed runs, I may start on Prince of Persia.

Finally I decided to play a few ranked games on FIFA but stopped after frustration of jammy players started to set in I couldn't find a rythm at all so I turned the console off for the night.

What I'm Playing - 12/12/2008 - 7:00PM

Right well as you know I've been playing Fallout 3 in order to create the play diary for you all to read and follow. I've played about 3/4's of an hour of that and I've just reached Megaton.

I've also been playing some more Lips chipping away towards those last few achievements. I sang a few more songs to add some more medals towards my 500x medal achievement and I uploaded some more songs to my Lips library in order to progress towards the upload 300 songs to Lips achievement. Lips is a game that's going to take some time to complete. The album that i uploaded this time was by a man known as Lonnie Donegan, you have probably never heard of him he is a singer from the 1950's his songs are a good laugh you may have heard of my old man's a Dustman by him, if not a copy of it is below have a listen see what you think.

Fallout 3 Play Diary - Part 2

Part 2 of our Fallout 3 journey begins enjoy.

Here we are looking out over the baron landscape with not exactly much to see.
If your looking for an evil game and fancy some items.
Look to the left form the cliff and you'll see a town.
Lets head down there.
Well done you have discovered Springvale.
At the junction turn to the right.
In front of you on the left you will see a house head inside it.
There is a lady inside.
If you want free items and don't mind being evil kill her and rob her if not listen to what she has to say and leave.
Open your PIP BOY go to the world map and quick travel back to the vault.
Face in the direction the arrow below your health bar is pointing in and you will see a structure that is Megaton your next destination. Lets head there.
Well done you have discovered Megaton. Head inside.

You will run into Lucas Simms Town Sheriff gather what you can form him about your dad and continue.
Head to Crater side supply to sell your gathered items to make some caps.
Buy any new equipment you need and then leave.
Head up to Moriarty's Saloon.
Have a chat to Gob the local Ghoul and gather some info.
If your speech is enough you can get some info on your Dad.
Go and speak with Moriarty in the back if your speech is high enough you can lie and find the info you need if not you will have to pay or hack his terminal your choice.
After this you will learn your dad headed to Galaxy News Radio time to leave Megaton.

Fallout 3 Play Diary - Part 1 - 12/12/2008

Here it is my first Play Diary as promised.I will not be trying to avoid spoilers really as I'm just going to tell it as I see it so if you don't want the story spoiled then don't read on. I will offer a quick guideline of where to go and what to do however this is not a walkthrough and if you try and use it like one you will get lost quick, there of plenty of places such as gamefaqs.com for walkthroughs if you require one. This Diary will record me going out into the Fallout world in order to find the 20 Vault Tec Bobbleheads required for the achievement. After I have collected these I may carry on with the main story if you so wish. Any way enjoy part 1.

Here we start at the main menu I've selected New Game and away we go.

The opening cutscene Rolls playing a song that has really got stuck in my head
"I don't want to set the world on fire" As the apocalyptic world unfolds before us.

Now we emerge as a new born baby looking up at our father and now the choices begin, sex, name, appearance etc and then oh dear somethings gone really wrong.

And yet another flash Of Light.

It's one year later and we're a little baby, The quest "Baby Steps" begins.
Now we have to exit the play pen, read a nice little book, select some stats.
The your Dad returns tells you about a nice little verse your mom likes.

You guessed it another flash.

Now it's your 10th birthday and you get you PIP BOY 3000. Quest added "Growing Up"
Walk round chat to some people then get some presents before your dad tells you about a special present. Head down to the reactor room and meet up with Jonas.
Here your given your first gun and go get some target practice.
Shoot the targets and then the radroach then pose for a photo.

Another flash.

Your now 16 in your Dads office your trying to get off sick from taking a GOAT exam,
(It will be explained in the game I promise). Your dad has none of it and forces you to go.
Quest "Future Imperfect"
And here is our first Bobblehead as soon as you say buy to Dad look on his desk
the medicine Bobblehead is there pick it up, 1 down 19 to go.
Head out the room and round past Butch and the gang to the test room.
Take a seat in the class and wait for the test to begin.
Answer the multiple choice questions don't worry you can't fail.
After the test talk to the teacher and you can choose to add some points to some of your stats
now leave the room.

Another flash.

It's 3 years later you are rudely awakened.
It's all gone wrong your Dad has done a runner out the vault and now everyone is after you Jonas has been murdered.
Amata gives you a gun collect your stuff off the desk and leave the room.
Let the radroaches kill the officer then finish them off before robbing his body.
Equip your new armour and gun and continue.
Butch will run into you choose to help him or not.
Continue up to the Atrium.
After speaking to Officer Gomez and others continue on.
Kill the two Officers in this room and take their items and ammo.
Move through the Ratroach infested corridor and past the man banging on the window.
Kill the officer int he control room and rob the items and the janitors items.
Continue on and you'll find Amata and the Overseer watch the scene unfold.
Choose wether to kill the overseer or not get a copy of the office key and terminal password. Head towards his office.
Once in the office be sure to raid the locker for ammo and items then activate the terminal.
Choose to open the passage and head down it and through the door.
Head along the corridor and through the door to the vault entrance.
Activate the door switch and kill the tow officers that emerge.
Speak with Amata then head outside.
Head through the door to the capital wasteland and make any last changes to your
character.
You emerge bleary eyed into the big wide world, well whats left with it.
Congrats you have leveled up and escaped the vault arrange your new points and prepare.

Sit back and wait for part 2...

What I'm Playing - 12/12/2008 - 3:00PM

Well I've spent most the day watching Pushing Daises Season 2 a fantastic show that I really enjoy a little clip is below.



Apart from that I've been playing Lips for the last hour or so working towards a few more achievements. I got another 2 challenge wins online taking me up 12/20 that I need to get the achievement. I also added a few more medals to my collection towards the 500x medals that I need and finally I added Muses - Black Holes and Revelations Album to my Lips music Library to move me closer to the import 300 songs achievement.

Apart form this not much gameplaying been going on, stay tuned though as my first Play Diary for Fallout 3 will be up later on today.

What I'm Playing - 11/12/2008 - 6:00PM

Right I have finally completed the main story on Mirrors edge just this minute. As a result I'm going to do my first review on Mirrors Edge now that I have a good insight into it so I'll post that up either later tonight or tomorrow.

Anyway Mirrors Edge was an enjoyable and frustrating game had some fun times bouncing off the walls and sliding around and some very very very frustrating times of getting shot to pieces by guards. I only played through on easy so I may start another Play Diary of my Mirrors Edge playthrough on hard to go with the Fallout 3 one I will be starting so stay tuned for that.

I'm on 385/1000 GS for Mirrors Edge now. Below are a couple of the achievements that I selected as the best that I have unlocked today.

	That's a wrap	60
	Complete the story mode on any difficulty

	Test of Faith	80
	Complete the game without shooting an enemy

I also unlocked "Chapter 7 Complete" and "Chapter 8 Complete"

Anyway that's all for now I'm off to play a bit of Lips and FIFA.

XBOX 360 Play Diary - 10/12/2008

Well today I carried on with my Fallout 3 playthrough I finally got the "Data Miner" achievement and the "Does not play nice with others" (If thats what it's called) achievement. I also got a couple more on fallout which were "The bigger they are..." for killing the behemoths and the one for finding 100 locations. this leaves me with only 2 achievements left before the 1000 however I am unable to get them with this playthrough due to me missing one of the bobble heads that I can no longer get.

As I result I have decided to start my first real playthrough diary of Fallout 3 in order to record me getting the 20 bobble heads in the game and to offer you an insight into the game if you are yet to pick it up.

I also went back to playing Lips as you probably know it is a karaoke game I got a few more achievements on that today and finally got the infinity rank achievement for getting over 4 million points on AHA- Take on me, not bad. Below is a link to Xbox lives Major Nelson giving it a go.
