Gears 2 DLC Now Available

The new Gears DLC that was announced last night is now availble via the Xbox Live marketplace. The new DLC is know as the "Combustible Map Pack" and will cost 800 MS points.

Combustible Map Pack - 800 Points
- Flood - A flow of imulsion shapes the battle.
- Gold Rush - Fight away in an imulsion factory, with multiple levels and explosions.
- Fuel Station - Battling around an abandoned fuel station.

New Gears 2 Map Pack Tonight!

Thanks to VGA we have learnt that tonight on Xbox Live at 12Am Pacific time the new Gears of War 2 Combustible map pack will be unveiled. Go check it out and get downloading.

However the Maps included in the pack are still yet to be announced.

Cowboy Hats In Gears 2

A new Easter Egg has been discovered in Gears of War 2 that allows the cogs to wear Dizzy style cowboy hats.I was a little skeptical myself to but it turns out it's real.

NPD Sales November

The list of the top 20 games sold over November 2008 in the US has been released and the Xbox 360 has managed to get 7 titles into the top 20 claiming both the top spot and the number 2 slot with Gears 2 and COD:WOW respectively. Left 4 Dead was the only other 360 title to break into the top 10 sales. Sadly Fable 2 has dropped from the number 1 spot last month down into a sad 19th spot this month, Lionhead will be hoping that this months DLC will pick sales up again. Gears 2 Patched Again

Epic has released a second patch for Gears of War 2 multiplayer matches. After the problems still persisted after the first title update Epic have been hard at work trying to fix this. Hopefully this second patch will mark the end of the long waiting times for matches who knows?

Gears 3 Christmas 2010?

The rumors of Gears of War 3 have begun even though Gears 2 isn't even 2 months old yet. The latest rumors claim that Epic are already busy developing Gears of war 3 and it will be ready for release Christmas 2010. Also rumors stating that Gears 3 will up the co-op ante a long way by including 5 player co-op campaign.

However don't get excited Epic have already shot down these rumors in a ball of flames saying they are complete nonsense and they will not be discussing Gears 3 as they are still developing for Gears 2. Expect DLC for Gears 2 next year I'd put money on it.
